BankPerfect is free bank account management software, coming with a very clear and user-friendly interface.
It can handle, in a single file, any number of accounts, manage several currencies and rates, filter, sort and perform text searches on all your transactions, and of course, can import data from your bank's website (QIF, CSV, OFX...) or other bank management software.
It also comes with all necessary tools related to bank management: scientific calculator, loan calculator, scheduler, account reports, charts and data export, stock exchange management... features which can be completed with extensions (scripts and plugins).
A very good tool, whilst not offering all features of a big retail suite like Quicken, should cover most of any individual's needs.

Have you ever experienced the frustration of mistakenly copying something to the clipboard, erasing that previous copied text you absolutely needed? CLCL is here to get rid of this!
It's a clipboard manager, which keeps an history of all copy and paste operations you make, until it reaches a given (customizable) limit, so you can instantly access any previously-copied element, even after computer restart, being either text, pictures or file selections. You can also define some elements as "templates" you'll be able to keep permanently, no matter what's being in the history.
A very lightweight tool which will remain discrete on your taskbar tray if run on Windows startup. One of those tiny apps everyone should have, which only does one thing, but does it perfectly!

The Windows text editor, "Notepad", is a very basic tool. Thus, it has always been superseeded by many software products aimed at replacing it, one of them being Notepad++.
Among its features: tabbed interface (allowing you to open several documents at once) which can be splitted in two vertical or horizontal parts, syntax highlighting and code folding for more than 50 programming languages (including PHP, ASP, C, C++, C#, XML, Java, JavaScript...), multiple encoding formats support (Unicode, ASCII, etc.) to edit multilingual documents, a very efficient search and replace module (which can process multiple documents or folders at once) as well as a file comparison tool (like WinMerge), all of which being covered by a bunch of handful keyboard shortcuts.
There are many more software products like this (NoteTab and PSPad being notable ones I often used) but Notepad++ remains one of the most lightweight, and thanks to its open-source license, is also one of the most updated, to be one of the most complete.

Are you fed up with reading paper or online TV programmes guides? ZGuideTV should be for you.
ZGuideTV is an EPG (Electronic Program Guide) which will give you all upcoming TV broadcasts for the next weeks.
TV programmes are being downloaded in a standard format(XMLTV) and don't require any TV tuner to be installed. They're being listed in a horizontal grid layout, with color codes identifying the programme type (film, series, concerts, TV shows, kids, entertainment....) and you can also click on any of them to get details such as title, actors, synopsis...
A good piece of software which avoids the need of buying many paper program guides and supporting online ads, but it suffers from some flaws on its GUI (resulting in some difficulties to grab the programmes at first) and some sluggish operations (grid browsing).
